A Day in the Life
Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and Technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.
As a Senior Accountant in our Employee Benefits Accounting Team, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing employee benefit accounting operations for Diabetes International. You’ll ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across multiple geographies while supporting process improvement initiatives and collaborating with HR and finance teams.
Based in Pune, India, this role requires close collaboration with BPO partner Accenture, corporate and local Finance teams, the Accounts Payable team, internal and external auditors, as well as the IT Support team.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Lead employee benefit accounting operations for Diabetes International, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
Manage employee benefit-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, maintaining high standards of data integrity.
Collaborate closely with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll data integrity and timely processing of employee benefits.
Support the implementation and optimization of employee benefit accounting processes within SAP S/4HANA, particularly in preparation for TSA (Transition Service Agreement) exit with Medtronic.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements across multiple geographies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, control, and accuracy in payroll accounting processes.
Assist in audits and provide required documentation for internal and external auditors.
Monitor and analyze employee benefit accounting metrics, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
Participate in cross-functional projects related to payroll and benefits accounting.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on employee benefits or payroll accounting.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems; TSA exit experience is a plus.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
