A Day in the Life
The Training & Education Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering high quality education across the CAS portfolio, supporting both internal teams and external customers throughout ANZ. This role is responsible for supporting training programs and educational initiatives that enable safe, effective, and confident use of CAS technologies, with a strong focus on product launches, new hire onboarding, and ongoing professional development.
Education and capability development within the Affera 3D mapping portfolio sits at the heart of this role, including mentoring and accrediting mappers, supporting procedural confidence, and helping drive clinical excellence in mapping practice. Working closely with sales, marketing and clinical stakeholders, the Training & Education Specialist partners with physicians, allied health professionals, and internal employees to deliver consistent, high-quality education that supports best practice and customer outcomes.
This opportunity is a Permanent Full-Time role based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. We are also open to considering as a flexible Part-Time (4 days per week) role for the right applicant!
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Assist in the coordination and delivery of high‑quality education and training programs to support the safe, effective and compliant use of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) portfolio across ANZ
Support education activities associated with new product launches, ensuring internal teams and customers are appropriately trained to best‑practice standards
Support the education, development, and accreditation of Affera 3D mapping specialists, including mentoring mappers in the field and contributing to the development of clinical excellence in mapping practice
Assist with the implementation and delivery of Affera customer education programs to support best‑practice use of the technology and procedural confidence
Deliver structured new hire training programs for the CAS team, in alignment with global CAS standards and curriculum, supporting rapid capability development and long‑term performance
Work with the CAS Education Manager to implement ongoing professional development initiatives to continually upskill internal clinical team and clinical excellence
Assist with the organisation and execution of customer education programs, including in‑services, workshops, hands‑on training and proctoring support, in collaboration with sales, marketing and clinical stakeholders
Provide education and training to physicians, allied health professionals, and hospital staff, supporting clinical confidence and procedural excellence
Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, and Regional Leadership to align education strategies with business objectives and customer needs
Work with the CAS Education Manager to support the development, localisation and delivery of educational materials and learning resources in line with global standards and local regulatory requirements
Ensure all education activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, quality standards, and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements
Act as a trusted education partner and subject matter expert, contributing to continuous improvement of CAS training frameworks and learning experiences.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum requirement is High school diploma PLUS a minimum of 8 years of work experience in electrophysiology, and/or the implantable cardiac devices, or Associate's Degree with a minimum of 6 years’ experience. Bachelor degree plus a minimum of 4 years is preferred
Valuable to have extra qualifications in Cardiac Electrophysiology such as IBHRE-CEPS or Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Electrophysiology
Knowledge of education and training techniques; valuable to have certifications in instructional design or adult learning.
Strong commercial acumen to enable commercial excellence.
Solutions focused with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
Results-oriented with good organisation and time-management skills, including working independently and unsupervised.
Able to prioritise, handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
