As the Sr. Distribution Operational Excellence (OpEx) Director within our Global Operations & Supply Chain team, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic transformation across our global distribution network. As the Sr. Distribution OpEx Director, you will:
Lead Transformation: Build and lead a Distribution Supply Chain Operational Excellence team to drive change, deliver measurable results, and transform our supply chain into a world-class organization.
Optimize Processes: Enhance customer service, reduce costs, improve asset utilization, and ensure quality and compliance across the supply chain.
Shape Strategy: Develop and implement strategic initiatives, leveraging industry insights to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
Strengthen Technology: Align supply chain IT strategies with key functions, including Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customer Service.
Drive Execution: Create and execute roadmaps for supply chain initiatives, prioritize projects, and track progress to ensure success.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and oversee a program management framework that supports Medtronic’s innovation, growth, and profitability objectives.
Drive operational excellence by standardizing processes, introducing new tools, and continuously improving efficiency and consistency.
Build strong relationships with global stakeholders to secure alignment and ownership of strategies and initiatives.
Develop and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of inclusion, engagement, and innovation.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of experience in Planning, Distribution, Transportation, Trade Compliance, or Supply Chain Systems; OR an advanced degree with 13+ years of relevant experience.
10+ years of managerial experience.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in a world-class supply chain organization, with a focus on operational excellence.
Global enterprise experience, with a proven track record of driving process improvements and managing successful change initiatives.
Expertise in SAP ERP systems and Supply Chain Management Applications.
Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably medical devices, with global manufacturing.
Strong leadership and influencing skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
Proven ability to manage departmental budgets and execute strategic plans.
Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$213,600.00 - $320,400.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance,Health Savings Account,Healthcare Flexible Spending Account,Life insurance, Long-term disability leave,Dependent daycare spending account,Tuition assistance/reimbursement, andSimple Steps (global well-being program).
