A Day in the Life
In this exciting role as a Quality Engineer II, you will be a part of the Global Operations Quality team with a focus on Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Service of medical devices is crucial to ensuring their safe and effective operation, which ultimately allows healthcare professionals to deliver reliable and high-quality care to their patients. You will be an integral part of the team that supports the company’s quality policy to Put Patients First. This team collaborates with global teams to support products across several portfolios in Medtronic. This is a hybrid role where the employee is at a minimum 3 days a week on site in the Singapore office with option of remote working for 2 days in the week.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality processes and protocols to support servicing of reusable medical devices.
Collaborates with engineering and operations functions to ensure quality requirements are in place and met
Devises and implements methods and procedures for processes related to servicing of medical devices
Supports and/or leads audits and inspections from the auditee perspective for service processes in quality management systems
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Supports and/or leads projects to improve compliance or standardize service and repair related processes
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science related discipline with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in Engineering and/or Quality, Or Advanced degree
Root Cause Analysis training
Audit Readiness (external and internal audit experience).
CAPA experience (owner of CAPAs).
Process improvements (creation and implementation of improvements).
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with creation and completion of change controls.
Medical devices or Pharma experience.
