Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Provides leadership, development, and coaching to operational teams in various stages of team development in the Warehouse.   
  • Responsible for teams, equipment, and all activities affecting them.
  • Coordinates Warehouse operation with minimal coaching support.  
  • Prepares daily work assignments and coordinates work team and human resource related activities. 
  • Gains and uses general knowledge of plant systems (SAP, financial, planning, etc.) to monitor and execute production schedules.  
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to government regulations through a demonstrated understanding of SOP’s and a general knowledge of company policies/guidelines, safety/environmental regulations, and GMP’s.  Troubleshoots root cause of problems and identifies/implements corrective actions. 
  • Completes quality minor deviation investigations independently and deviation investigations with minimal coaching support.  
  • Coordinates resources to ensure that equipment remains in operating conditions.  
  • Gains a working knowledge of the Warehouse processes by becoming qualified to operate equipment.  
  • Serves as point of contact for respective area.  
  • Assists with project activities.  
  • Focuses teams on continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitors performance against established objectives, communicates status to work teams, and implements corrective actions as needed to ensure objectives are met.  
  • Becomes proficient in cold chain activities and procedures.  
  • Gains an understanding of profit plan, capital planning, budget and standards development.  

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Quality – identifies and resolves quality issues, troubleshoots root cause of problems, determines appropriate corrective actions and documents investigations
  • Safety – recognizes unsafe conditions, investigates accidents/injuries, and implements corrective measures
  • Continuous Improvement – focuses teams on continuous improvement activities, evaluates merits of suggestions/ideas and coordinates resources to implement
  • Equipment – troubleshoots equipment problems, identifies need for new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment to optimize throughput
  • Financial – recognizes/investigates opportunities for financial savings, sets realistic profit plan standards, determines appropriate work centers/manning for new products, and provides input into development of capital plans 
  • Team/Individual Performance – allocates resources to meet due dates, develops work team objectives, recognizes/addresses poor performance, assesses employee-training needs, assesses maturity of the team, and adjusts leadership style to enhance team performance

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree or higher is preferred.
Required:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of coaching/supervisory experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of pharmaceutical experience     
Preferred:
  • SAP experience and access highly preferred.  
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.  
  • Strong team skills, including ability to coach/develop work teams, provide training, motivate/empower others, and resolve conflict.  
  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities.  
  • Must be goal-oriented and able to manage risks.  
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
