Seeking an experienced Vivarium Operations Manager to establish and maintain an internal vivarium facility and and in vivo research. This is a unique opportunity to work at an exciting, science-driven therapeutics company with a broad portfolio across multiple models of human disease. The successful candidate will have a strong background in in vivo operations in a client’s services or CRO environment working with preclinical rodent disease models. Ideal in vivo skills include I.V. compound administration (adult and neonatal rodents), tissue collection for RNA and histology, blood collection, and stereotaxic intracranial injections. While s/he will work closely with a highly talented team of research scientists, the ability to independently manage vivarium colonies and staff to ensure timely readouts of in vivo studies is essential.

Experience

  • 3+ years of managerial experience in an in vivo operations role at a research animal facility accredited by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC), especially in rodent breeding operations
  • 2+ Years working in supporting preclinical or clinical programs in a client services capacity strongly preferred
  • Experience in developing, directing, and administering an Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program
  • Bachelor's Degree in animal sciences or related field (Masters or PhD preferred)
  • AALAS certification at the Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATg) level
