The Pediatric Urgent Care Centers at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is expanding to meet the needs of Atlanta’s growing pediatric community. The team is now recruiting full and part-time, board-certified Pediatric Physicians, to become an active member of the pediatric clinical care team.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta currently has 7 Pediatric Urgent Care Centers conveniently located around metro Atlanta. In 2016 we served over 150,000 children.

Our centers have:

• A pediatrician on staff

• Walk-in hours seven days a week, including holidays

• Lab and X-ray services to quickly diagnose minor illnesses and injuries

• A comprehensive fracture program that is overseen by pediatric orthopaedic specialists

• Access to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, including over 2,000 doctors trained in 60 pediatric specialties.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Board Eligible/Board certified and licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia
  • Current DEA registration
  • BLS certification is required. PALS certification


  • No minimum experience required


  • Experience in respective clinical area


  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families and as a team member

  • Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing as part of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Professional Staff


  1. Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Children’s policies and procedures.
  2. Participates in and incorporates Quality Improvement and research findings into practice.
  3. Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
  4. Provides an authenticated report of all physician services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner.
  5. Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patent care and appropriate reimbursement.
  6. Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area.
  7. Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, and PALS, and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned.
  8. Performs other responsibilities as required.


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
