At OptumRx, a part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, we're reinventing Pharmacy Benefit Management. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a patient focused pharmacist to join us as one of our newest Consulting Pharmacists in Overland Park! The consulting pharmacist performs various duties which support our members and internal Customer Service Advocates; consults with patients regarding the use of medications, medication side effects, drug therapy, and potential drug interactions; assists patients with pharmacist - related inquiries about their orders; provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise; limited interactions with physicians and other healthcare providers.

This position is based in the Overland Park, KS office. Must live within a daily commutable distance. This is a Call Center position, where you will sit at your desk and primarily answer incoming calls, and occasionally make outbound calls.

If you are located within a 1-hour commute time from Overland Park, KS, you will have the flexibility to telecommute post-training.

* Consultations are provided telephonically, not face to face.*
* Training onsite: Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm for 6 weeks up to 3 months*
* Primarily Evening Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00pm - 1:30am or earlier*
* Rotating weekends/holidays with varying shifts*

Primary Responsibilities

* Conducts Quality Assurance and verifies the accuracy of all prescriptions
* May take new prescriptions and evaluates patient histories
* May need to interpret physicians' prescriptions and verify orders
* Consults with patients regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions
* Analyzes and investigates concerns
* Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise

Success in this role will depend heavily upon your customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, call center environment. You must also be able to work a variety of shifts based on need.

Required Qualifications:

* BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
* Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license for the State of KS
* 1+ year of experience working in a retail pharmacy or customer service setting as a Licensed Pharmacist
* Basic level of experience with Microsoft Outlook and Word and the ability to type and navigate a Windows environment
* Flexible and available to work the designated shift
* Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a telephonic role (i.e. call center)
* Managed Care and / or PBM experience
* Bilingual English / Spanish
* Strong communication skills, written and verbal
* Strong organizational skills
