Overview - The Company


Our client is a leader in Pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing and sales. Adapting medications to the needs of patients, such as treatment efficacy and therapeutic adherence, resolving bioavailability issues for active ingredients, are key priorities for pharmaceutical industry players. Being experts in formulation, polymers, excipients, and emulsions, we offer excipients adapted to three routes of administration - oral, topical, and parenteral - as well as vaccine adjuvants. We also assist our customers in their development projects.

For topical administration, our excipients contribute to innovation in dermatology and dermopharmacy by improving therapeutic adherence or facilitating solubilization, and formulation of active ingredients in various galenic forms. The topical administration of drugs allows targeted care of dermatological or loco-regional pathologies, or by transdermal route. Dermo-pharmaceutical drugs exist largely in semi-solid forms such as gels, creams, foams, and sprays.

During formulation, the choice of excipients is essential in guaranteeing medication efficacy by solubilizing the active ingredients and optimizing their cutaneous penetration, for the stability of the galenic form and its texture, as well as for therapeutic adherence of the patient. We offer innovative excipients designed to address formulation issues that other excipients cannot. Their safety of use for cutaneous and mucosal applications is guaranteed by tolerance tests. We also provide Pharmacopeia-compliant excipients meeting Ph. Eur. and USP-NF requirements.


The Job

We are seeking to hire a scientist or chemist that would like to make the transition to Technical Service / Customer Support / Sales. The main focus will be to help market and sell key raw material ingredients used by pharmaceutical companies in the USA and Canada. Candidates do not need to have any prior experience in Technical Service or Sales for this role. However, it candidates have scientific experience with formulations in cosmetics, personal care products, or topical or oral pharmaceuticals, that would be helpful. All of our client's sales are B2B. They do not sell anything via retail or directly to the consumer.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

· Management of around 100 active and prospect accounts, including major Brand owners in Dermopharmacy (Pharmaceutical companies engaged in producing Rx creams and lotions)

· Follow-up with existing key opportunities to bring them to future sales

· Promote our Dermopharmacy Ingredients to existing customers and new prospects at different levels: R&D, Procurement, Marketing

· Development of Strategic Plan for the targeted Dermopharmacy customers and deployment of specific territory sales strategies to maximize growth opportunities and capture new customers

· Development of Marketing support materials dedicated to the North American Market

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Natural Science

· Desire to meet and speak with customers that use polymers, excipients, or actives (APIs)

· Use your outgoing and enthusiastic personality to create and grow relationships with customers

· Excellent interpersonal skills, likes to work in a team in close collaboration with others

· Capable of working with full autonomy, organized, resilient, and dynamic

· Willing to travel regularly across US and Canada

· No prior sales experience is necessary. We will teach, mentor, and train you.
