The Teacher’s Aide under general supervision assists the Teacher and Assistant Teacher to provide developmental care and supervision to children enrolled in the child care center.  Provides learning experiences to foster the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment. Plans and implements age appropriate curriculum and establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents.



  1. Assists the Teacher and Assistant Teacher in planning and implementing age appropriate curriculum involving various activities to stimulate and foster children’s intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development and abilities.


  2. Provides continuous supervision to children enrolled in the child care center; ensures health and safety of children.
  3. Assists Teacher and /or Assistant Teacher to prepare activities that support lesson plans and in supervising children in classroom activities.
  4. Utilizes appropriate language, interactions, and positive discipline; model positive behavior.
  5. Ensures that the classroom environment and outdoor play area is clean, safe, attractive, organized and promotes learning.

Education and/or Experience                                                              

High School diploma required. Candidate may be a high school student 16 years of age and must have completed two Early Childhood Education courses required
