**SYSTEM DIRECTOR, PHARMACY CONTRACTING SERVICES** **| Mason, OH**
The System Director, Pharmacy Contracting Services is responsible for developing and managing a broad-based pharmacy contract portfolio with both Payors and Specialty Medication Manufacturers. The goal of this role is to increase Harness Health Pharmacy's access to payor and Limited Distribution Drug (LDD) networks. Including direct pharmacy purchase agreement, pharmacy services agreement and value-based contracts. This role is also responsible for data delivery requirements set forth by our strategic partners to gain and maintain access in targeted networks. Additional supportive functions of this role include acting as the pharmacy contracting subject matter expert for the organization's managed care team, home infusion pharmacy network and the pharmacy benefits management team. All responsibilities are accomplished in collaboration with the pharmacy leadership team under the direction of the VP Retail, Home Delivery and Specialty pharmacy. The scope and complexity of the position requires successful leaders to possess a diverse and highly developed skill set including but not limited to a deep understanding of pharmacy contracting, time-management, communication, creativity, teamwork, and relationship management.
**Essential Functions**
+ Primary responsible party for all aspects of contracting including the initiation, development, negotiation, and monitoring of contracts on behalf of Harness Health Pharmacy or represented BSMH pharmacy area. The incumbent negotiates directly with a variety of executives from these external entities to establish strategic relationships to accomplish the mission of Harness Health Pharmacy and BSMH. All executed contracts must contain the inclusion of Harness Health Pharmacy or BSMH in favorable provider networks at acceptable reimbursement rates. Negotiations include network tiering, discussion on payment rate and structure, favorable contract terms and standard BSMH terms and conditions. All contracting discussions will require cross functional work with legal, supply chain, and other applicable internal partners.
+ Assist with the operational management of end-to-end procedures that support new contracts, products, and partners
+ Cross-functional project management: work with all collaborating Pharmacy Operations, Marketing, Legal, Analytics, Managed Care and Supply Chain to enable successful pharmacy service implementation and maintenance of executed agreements
+ Lead and facilitate team meetings with cross-functional teams as they pertain third party agreements and LDD programs
+ Serve as the point of contact for contracted pharma programs and external contracted partners to ensure compliance and resolve issues in a timely manner
+ Work with internal stakeholders to develop quarterly business review presentations for pharma external clients (pharmaceutical manufacturers, third party payers, etc.) including monthly scorecards and ad hoc requests from clients as necessary
+ Track and analyze key performance indicators, identify trends and work with pharmacy operations to develop recommendations for improvement when applicable

**REQUIRED** :
- Bachelor of Science in related field; Business, Healthcare, etc.
- Masters of Science in related field; Business, Healthcare, etc.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in pharmacy contracting (involving Payors and/or pharmaceutical manufacturers) with proven results
- 2+ years of direct contract negotiation
- 2+ years of cross-functional collaboration
- Proven contract preparation skills, with an in-depth knowledge of reimbursement methodologies
- Oversees and participates in the development, negotiation, implementation, and management of managed care contracting.
- Leads the development of an effective negotiation strategy targeted payer contracts
- Strong financial acumen with proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial trends
- Plays a key role in Payor relationships to set the stage for future initiatives and to support existing agreement
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Strong organization and prioritizing skills
- Extremely detail-oriented and efficient
- Ability to make sound decisions based on urgency, fact, guidelines, goals and regulations
