Scope of Position:

In this role, you will direct production team members in order to create finished good items such as pipettes, plates, and racks. You will perform as a working member of the team and will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of machinery. We look for you to operate machinery in multiple production areas and replaces absent employees for short term periods.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Runs production schedule developed by the operations manager.
  • Assigns duties to team members, making decisions on the best way to utilize labor for demand.
  • Operates line equipment in production areas including molding press machines, assembling & packaging of product, monitoring output quality & quantity.
  • Ensures accurate recording of production information and event occurrences; reports any shift production issues to management.
  • Attends to any personnel including production, safety, and personal issues
  • Advocates adherence to plant safety policy across the floor
  • Performs routine monitoring and inspection activities per product specifications at each stage of production including daily housekeeping and waste removal
  • Completes production records, recording relevant data onto forms or via electronic data entry; ensures accuracy and good documentation practices with documented standards.
  • Stages raw materials, in-process products, and finished products per current procedure
  • Works with tools, cleaning equipment & chemicals demonstrating proper safety precaution
  • Relieves other team members for absences or break periods and rotates duties as required
  • Assembles, packages, labels, palletizes and stages product per specifications & procedures

  • None

 

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

  • Monday – Friday, 14:30 – 23:30 daily (5 days/week)
  • Some overtime as required

 

Required Education:

  • Minimum High School  Diploma or GED required.

 

Required Years and Area of Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years manufacturing production experience.

 

Required Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior leadership or team lead experience. 

 

Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree desired.
  • Experience with manufacturing system (ERP, SAP, etc.)
  • Forklift experience or certification.
  • Six Sigma or Lean exposure.
  • EH&S exposure.
