Job Summary

We are seeking a Supervisor Virology for our PA-Biologics Testing Solutions sites in Wayne, PA.
Responsible for the supervision of Virology personnel and activities related to Virology testing.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Supervisor Virology:

 

•    Provide direct daily supervision of laboratory activities and review work of assigned departmental employees to ensure

     accuracy and adherence to pertinent departmental policies, practices and procedures (SOPs, safety procedures,

     and biosafety protocols). 
•    Identify training and development needs of direct reports, monitor their performance, and assist with technical

     troubleshooting.
•    Manage and coordinate work associated with large projects which includes scheduling and prioritizing workload of

     group members. 
•    Administer regular performance reviews. Review and approve time.

 

The following are minimum requirements related to the Supervisor Virology:

 

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) or equivalent in Biology or related discipline.
•    Experience: 2-4 years related experience in a laboratory. 
•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific

     education and experience listed herein.
•    Certification / Licensure: None
•    Other: Demonstrated leadership skills required. Working knowledge of cGMPs and/or regulatory affairs pertaining to the

     pharmaceutical and biological industries is required.  Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

     Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel.
