PeaceHealth is seeking a Supervisor Sleep Lab - Sleep Center Longview for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for monitoring the overall services, developing quality and performance indicators, gathering data for analysis as well as ensuring continuous improvement to optimize services and stewardship of resources. Staffing and scheduling. Also, will practice as a polysomnographic technologist as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Link mission into day-to-day work, focuses on meeting organization/departmental targets, monitors budget variances and recommend or develop plans for improvement, assure regulatory compliance as well as organizational/departmental policies and procedures.
  2. Recommend selection of staff, monitor and evaluate performance and accountability of staff.  Evaluate competence and initiate performance improvement plans to develop staff, provide meaningful and constructive feedback.
  3. Work with leadership to assist in the development of policies, procedures, and enhancements to the delivery of services, and operations of the department.

 

  1. Coordinate daily activities and workflow of assigned staff.  Manage day-to-day operations, delegate tasks or projects, and assure adequate staffing to meet patient load.  This includes developing monthly schedules, managing time off requests, and posting and filling open positions to meet staffing needs as necessary. 
  2. Develops policies, procedures, and enhancements to the delivery of services and operations of the department.
  3. Promotes problem identification, facilitates resolution and follows up and communicates with Director/staff as necessary.
  4. Provides input and assists on operation and capital budgets.  Participates in budget planning and monitoring.
  5. Completes weekly payroll process and associated paperwork as required.
  6. Practices as Polysomnographic Technologist.
  7. Acts as a liaison for physicians and staff.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Required unless otherwise designated)

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of 2 year AMA program required, or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities through a combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum of two years as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required.
  • Previous leadership training and experience strongly preferred

 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • BRPT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists) certification/registration required.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.

 

OTHER SKILLS: REQUIRED

  • Strong administrative, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS office applications as well as clinical application.

 

LONGVIEW PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Work requires moderate physical exertion up to 33% of the time.             
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs. or less.      
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.       
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
