We are seeking a Supervisor of Pharmacy Operations (Back End) to support all functions of Genoa's Pharmacy Operations. The Supervisor is responsible for the daily activities of business support, technical support, and production of the team or unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cycle department technician hiring (in conjunction with the site manager)
  • Monitors and holds cycle department technicians accountable for timely training completion
  • Identifies gaps in knowledge among cycle department team members and create improvement plans
  • Participates in weekly check-ins with site manager and assistant site manager
  • Cascades information to cycle department team
  • Creates work schedules for cycle department staff members including coverage for vacations
  • Facilitates training for all new cycle department staff, by providing training material as well as coordinating additional team members to assist in training
  • Monitors the cycle department's technical staff productivity and quality
  • Reviews productivity numbers as requested by assistant site pharmacist and site manager
  • Ensures the ordering lead has the supplies needed for daily production in stock
  • Works with facilities to coordinate eMAR usage and resolve any issues
  • Updates eMAR facility list and countdown preferences list for any changes/additions/deletions
  • Oversees new hire onboarding, including creating timelines and delegating tasks
  • Cycle department production schedule and productivity
  • Oversees staff members in the cycle department and ensures all responsibilities of members are being completed timely and appropriately
  • Provides IT support for all pharmacy equipment
  • Identifies and implement opportunities to improve operations including but not limited to computer enhancements, productivity improvement, and workflow improvement
  • Leads and participates in special projects as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Current Pharmacy Technician License for the State of WI
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification without restrictions
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
