Description Summary

This position is responsible for intake and review of potential subrogation identifications. The Subrogation Associate will review associated claims and correspondence to determine correct payment, adjust claims appropriately and update systems to direct future claim payment. The Subrogation Associate will answer inbound calls related to member questionnaires and place outbound calls to members, attorneys, insurers and providers to determine subrogation recovery potential and obtain the information necessary to open a case when appropriate.


  1. Review, process or adjust claims related to subrogation and ensure timely and accurate processing.

  2. Answer inbound calls related to member questionnaires and/or subrogation identifications.

  3. Update claims and customer service systems with subrogation information as appropriate.

  4. Determines in individual cases where possibilities for subrogation and recoveries exist.

  5. Open new subrogation cases and assign to analysts.

  6. Send out notification letters and lien statements to all parties of interest.

  7. Review and process online or imaged member questionnaire correspondence.

  8.  Other tasks such as case status checks as assigned.


  1. High school diploma and 3 years claims or customer service experience

  2. Understanding of third party liability principals

  3. Excellent organizational skills

  4. Excellent time management skills

Preferred Requirements

· Third Party Liability experience highly desired .
