Staff Pharmacist-Full Time

As a full time, nonexempt Staff Pharmacist with CPS® you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours each week, with various rotating shifts during the week (6:30am-3:30, 8:30-5:00pm, 11:30-8:00pm, and 1:30pm-10:00pm), Weekend Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. There is also a holiday rotation.

About the Facility: For nearly a quarter century, Huntsville Memorial Hospital, an 88-bed, Joint Commission accredited hospital, has been making strides in setting the standard for quality, cost-effective health care in Walker County and the surrounding communities. The services they provide include cardiac rehabilitation, expanded outpatient physical therapy, home care, sports medicine, and transitional care. They help bring these services out directly into the community through health and wellness services at work-sites, civic presentations and health screenings. Their vision and purpose is to provide "benevolent and charitable" services for the "sick, infirm, and afflicted residents" of Walker County through the "establishment, maintenance, support, and operation of a hospital." HMH is expanding their facilities to better meet the new health care options and quality standards set in the healthier industry today. CPS® has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS®.

About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy utilizes CPOE, and Pyxis. Pharmacy hours is open Monday through Friday from 6:30am-10:00pm and Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays from 7:30am-4:00pm.

Required Qualifications:

* Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
* Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Texas
* Experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting preferred
* Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
* Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
* Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems

Hospital Requirements:

* (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
* (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
* Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
* Hepatitis B3 Series or declination
* (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
* Respirator FIT Mask Test
