About the Role:
As a Senior Scientist in Translational Science, you will develop and deploy the translational strategy in discovery and development projects. A highly motivated individual with a strong scientific and technical background in translational science and in vivo pharmacology, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with the clinical and discovery teams to bring new and innovative biomarker solutions to patients with cancer and rare hematological disease. Your experience managing externally-delivered studies will enable timely decisions to implement clinically-relevant biomarkers.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
* Independently design, execute and interpret studies to investigate and prioritize biomarkers internally and with external providers
* Design, execute, and interpret in vivo studies communicating with external providers and internal stakeholders
* Evaluate new technologies for use in Translational Science
* Write study reports, including maintenance of an electronic notebooks
About You:
* Hands-on translational scientist with expertise in oncology and rare hematologic diseases
* Experience managing outsourced PK/PD and efficacy studies
* Ability to manage the technical and strategic needs of projects, and to concisely communicate results and recommendations.
* Proven ability to independently perform high quality research and work effectively on multifunctional teams
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* PhD in pharmacology or biology or related field
* 2+ years of industry experience in drug discovery and/or translational science
