The Sr. Pharmacy Data Analyst provides support for system pharmacy leadership decision makers through provision of business and operational analytics. With expertise in data management, data analysis, and data presentations, the Sr. Pharmacy Data Analyst works directly with the Pharmacy Management Team to gather, integrate, analyze, and present data, often using data management tools, to address key business needs. The Pharmacy Data Analyst will support the analysis and presentation of Pharmaceutical spend trends, Reimbursement trends, and Utilization trends. The Sr. Pharmacy Data Analyst is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining the data integrity of the 340B Drug Program by ensuring compliance with HRSA and Internal Audit guidance by creating and monitoring data necessary to ensure system performance. Education Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, accounting, or related fieldExperience Requires 5-10 years Data/Financial Analysis experience; Requires advanced experience with Microsoft Office - Excel & Powerpoint; SQL or Access database, and/or Power BI reporting tools. Applicant must have experience leading small groups to facilitate outcomes, communicating outcomes to management, auditing for compliance, analyzing financial impact of a department/business unit, and applying advanced-level analytical skills to provide data-driven recommendations.License/Registration/Certifications340B university (must be completed within 1 year of hire date) Supports SRHS Pharmacy Division Leadership through the provision of business, operational, and 340B analytics.Performance Criteria:A. Retrieves, aggregates, analyzes, and interprets data from information systems to improve Pharmacy efficiency, compliance, and revenue integrity, notifying key stakeholders as appropriate to correct operations. B. Work with available data sources to create routine and custom reports necessary to monitor system performance, compliance, and opportunities to improve financial performance. C. Create and distribute "scorecards" in key areas to pharmacy departments and Pharmacy leadership, focusing on key areas of trend analysis and financial performance. D. Performs financial analysis for potential Revenue Integrity initiatives or Service line growth opportunities to help define business plan proposals.E. Provides Retail Pharmacy claims level analysis - monitoring claim adjudication trends, ensuring payor contract compliance, and providing comprehensive drug profitability trends to Pharmacy management.F. Develops and maintains relationships with software vendors, payers, and other related parties.Participates in the development, maintenance, and proactive monitoring of 340B operational information systems.Performance Criteria:A. Develops, maintains, and monitors system data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis by compiling information from 340B Split Billing Software and initiating contact with key parties for correction as appropriate. Uploads data as required to vendor system.B. Works closely with SRHS 340B Audit / Compliance staff to operationalize monitoring systems for risk areas identified in internal audits of the 340B program.C. Works with other informatics teams to optimize system integration with 340B system, particularly changes related to charge description master (CDM) or billing systems. D. Participates in prioritization, planning, development, and implementation of new system software, hardware, and procedures related to 340B information system.E. Performs assessment/testing of new functionalities and/or software releases. F. Performs root cause investigation for 340B system issues, working with vendor and hospital users as appropriate to identify issues, resolutions, and timeframe, communicating same to user community. G. Logs service requests to the system vendor as needed and maintain a current list of open issues with resolution progress and status. Maintains documentation list of all program changes/updates to 340B Split Billing software, data feeds, and/or HRSA database.Participates in the development and maintenance of pharmacy 340B business information systems.Performance Criteria:A. Works with Revenue Cycle department with reports for audit to ensure that all Medicaid claims are submitted in a manner to prevent 340B duplicate drug discounts.B. Works with Med Staff Services department to develop monthly audit of 340B Eligible provider changes. Communicates discrepancies and/or changes to ensure continuous compliance with 340B split billing criteria.C. Performs detailed project gap analyses between current and future state of 340B pharmacy systems, and provides input to shape project plans that meet future state goals.D. Performs financial analysis for potential 340B expansion initiatives to help define opportunities for business plan proposals.
