Job Summary

The social media consultant will develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to help the organization meet goals and enhance brand awareness. This role combines the creative side of developing content with the analytical side of developing strategy and analyzing posts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a subject matter expert for social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Maintain a content plan and calendar for social channels and manage daily social media activity and engagement, including monitoring and responding to comments.
  • Implement posting schedules and ensure adherence to social media guidelines, protocol and procedures.
  • Create original, creative, engaging and shareable content that is consistent with brand guidelines, and edit and proof all social media copy for accuracy, clarity and grammar.
  • Grow followers and engagement for all channels and develop influencer outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure social media strategies complement other marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategies as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing or related discipline.

Experience: Five years of related experience with at least three + years of experience managing an organization's social media accounts, including recent social media copy experience.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media channels and their audiences and the ability to develop targeted messages to engage them.  Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.  Strong knowledge of Facebook Business Manager and other social media management tools.  Ability to work under deadlines for multiple customers at once and respond appropriately to time-sensitive issues.
