Description
Position Summary:
The pharmacy technician works under the supervision of the Pharmacist. The employee will enter and fill physician orders, checks the completed orders, and performs other related functions. They help assist in the maintenance, preparation, and distribution of intravenous solutions, admixtures, and chemotherapy agents. The ideal candidate will enjoy problem solving, highly organized, and day-to-day interactions with customers and patients.
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalentLicense:
+ OHIO: Certified Pharmacy Technician with Ohio Board of Pharmacy. May be hired with a Technician Trainee License (expires 1 year from receipt) with restrictions in duties and expectation of Certified License being obtained.
+ MICHIGAN: Licensed Pharmacy Technician with Michigan Board of Pharmacy. May be hired with a Temporary Pharmacy Technician License (expires 1 year from receipt) and expectation of Pharmacy Technician license being obtained.
Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (either PTCB or ExCPT (NHA) exam permitted)
WORKING CONDITIONSPhysical Demands: Must be able to lift light materials. Non-material handling of continuous sitting and reaching; frequent standing; occasional squatting, kneeling, walking, and stairs. Must be able to move about and between workstations.
