Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):

• Responsible for Hiring, developing and managing exempt & non-exempt employees in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.

• Lead and Manage production resources to meet safety, production, cost and quality objectives.

• Embrace Corning’s values while supervising, monitoring and improving the performance of wafer fab manufacturing supervisors, Group leaders & Wafer Fab Technicians ( WFT).

• Establish and monitor priorities to meet and continuously improve upon production goals systems.

• Effectively drive continuous operational excellence improvements, quality, cost and delivery ( QCD).

• Strong ability to multitask and set up specific daily output targets..


Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Adhere to clean-room and safety requirements.

• Hire, Train, Mentor and manage production wafer fab operations employees (Group leaders/techs & associates) in a fast pace clean-room manufacturing facility.

• Manage flexible work schedule to accommodate production operation requirements.

• Manage production resources to hit safety, production, cost and quality objectives.

• Perform administrative duties such as employee development, employee discipline, and record keeping, Kronos validation, and training and performance evaluation

• Effectively, drive continuous and quality related & cost reduction improvements.

• Actively engage in project management responsibilities and support a wide range of production group projects


Travel Requirements (please note if international): 10 -25% May be some limited international


Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40 plus hours to support 24 by 7 operation


Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration)

• BS/BA degree preferred or 3-5 years supervisory experience in a high tech manufacturing environment.

• 4 year degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).

• 5 years of experience – supervisory or relevant technical experience.
