Senior Technician D2 Saxonburg 




The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Technician Saxonburg, are to: 


  • Perform preventive maintenance and technical troubleshooting on automated assembly and packaging equipment;
  • Assist / lead execution of preventive maintenance activities and tool changes;
  • Investigate equipment downtime issues and provide input into performance improvements;
  • Participate in technical investigation of exception events or quality issues due to equipment failures and provide input into immediate corrections and long term corrective actions that prevent reoccurrence;
  • Provide technical training and guidance to less experienced operational personnel in the Manufacturing and Maintenance departments;
  • Ensure adherence to quality system standards and that production related equipment produces product that is within specifications;
  • Provide direct support to ensure safe operation of equipment in the manufacturing environment, including support of cost savings initiatives, process improvement changes, and new product introductions.

Required Qualifications:


  • 2-year Technical Associate’s degree or 2-year trade/military school;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience problem solving or troubleshooting of Mechanical / Automated assembly equipment including demonstrated ability to interpret and utilize drawings and schematics to perform equipment set-up, troubleshooting and repair;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and direct maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
  • Demonstrated mathematical and measurement skills to interpret specifications used in the set-up of machinery and test equipment;
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills used in the creation maintenance reports, calibration logs and technical investigations;
  • Understanding and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP);
  • Ability to identify required and maintain equipment and tool inventory;
  • Demonstrated experience with OSHA regulations including LOTO and Arc Flash requirements;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software;
  • Ability to work as part of a team;
  • High standard for quality of work and attention to detail, and ability to self-identify and complete work assignments with minimal supervision;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively cope with change.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working in FDA and ISO regulated industries;
  • Experience working within a controlled cleanroom manufacturing environment;
  • Experience with SAP;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and troubleshooting of system controls and logic;
  • Knowledge of systemized problem solving approaches.
