YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Supervisor Equipment Maintenance, are to: 

 

  • Manage a maintenance staff of 15 to 20 people including all level technicians, coordinators, and contractors across 3 shifts in support of production activities and manufacturing objectives. Creating a working environment with a performance feedback culture and lead all department positive employee relations initiatives;
  • Develop and monitor an equipment maintenance budget of $1,000,000 to $2,000,000;
  • Create, implement and execute a thorough predictive and active maintenance program;
  • Collect, analyze and archive equipment maintenance related data to drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis and actions solutions and own maintenance management software to track maintenance activities and performance;
  • Lead communication with production staff, contactors, vendors and engineering staff to optimize technical support of manufacturing objectives;
  • Manage scheduling of maintenance activities, material procurement and prioritization;
  • Analyze mechanical problems, determine inventory required for resolution and maintain appropriate inventory levels environment;
  • Lead evaluations of current manufacturing process, recommend improvement initiatives and implement approved changes for manufacturing procedures;
  • Lead validation activities, conduct engineering studies, and perform root cause analysis;
  • Improve manufacturing performance to achieve Standard rates through use of operational excellence tools (Hoshin, Kaizen, Fishbone analysis), and coordinate with scheduling, maintenance, and engineering to plan monthly and annual throughput capacity;
  • Have the ability to lead and manage change impacting systems, people and capital resources. Demonstrate ability to appropriately prioritize and anticipate needs to proactively avoid obstacles and resistance;
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to manage contract and full time staffing levels;
  • Ensure all safety measures and procedures are followed and drive safety and ergonomic improvements for maintenance activities;
  • Drive productivity improvements and participate on new equipment purchase teams;
  • Provide equipment installation and training assistance to global manufacturing start-ups as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
  • Minimum 7 years’ Overall experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment;
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Automation technologies and software application packages;
  • Experience working in established preventive/predictive maintenance systems and maintenance practices in regulated environment;
  • Experience in budgeting, capital planning and cost control;
  • Working knowledge of fabrication, machine shop, FDA, GMP, ISO, OSHA, regulatory documentation and control guidelines.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • 2 years’ maintenance supervisory experience leading a technical team in an regulated, automated equipment maintenance environment;
  • Project management experience.
