The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the portfolio of projects required to achieve systems reliability and compliance across the Merck Manufacturing Division (MMD) Plant Sites in the Americas Region. The portfolio of projects will be initially managed through the MMD IT Modernization Program.

 

This position will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the regional portfolio governance process to ensure remediation/modernization projects are aligned with standards including the Digital Shop Floor Platform for Technology standards and Blueprints and integrated into the overall strategic business, IT and financial plans.
  • Overseeing portfolio project execution at sites.
  • Partnering with the MMD Plant Sites and the Asset Reliability Maintenance (ARM) Team to ensure the execution of the integrated Reliability Based Asset Management (RBAM) process at sites in the region.
  • Partnering with the MMD Plant Sites to develop a business process for strategic asset management plans.
  • Reporting of site adherence to strategic asset management plans.
  • Influences regional Managed Services models.
  • Represents sites in the region for the development of Life Cycle Management (LCM) standards and processes.
  • A working member of the Modernization Committee.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or IT.

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with manufacturing Automation/IT systems.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and excellent project and program management skills.
  • High personal integrity, credibility, and energy.
  • Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills are required.
  • Ability to maintain solid customer focus and deliver consistent results.
  • Knowledge of IT processes and System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Financial and budgeting activities.
  • Life Cycle Management for IT assets.

Preferred:

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience working with laboratory IT systems.
