The Hospital/Specialty Marketing Analyst supports the Hospital/Specialty Business Unit (BU) Marketing department with ongoing strategic insights and recommendations to maximize overall BU effectiveness across various segments (Health Care Professional, Health Care Consumer, Medical Education, etc.).

The successful candidate will possess the ability to review and analyze data in order to assess and identify opportunities to increase effectiveness of digital (HCP / HCC) and personal promotion (rep, email, call center, Med Ed) activities across the portfolio. Additionally the ideal candidate should be a skilled communicator and collaborator who functions as an active member of marketing planning team. S/he will also be a forward looking and innovative thinker, helping to lead the transformation of marketing insights capabilities across the US Market.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing Planning for Hospital/Specialty, the role’s core responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in shaping the organization’s marketing analytics capabilities, including the development and integration of systems, tools, processes and metrics (e.g., KPIs, leading / lagging indicators, etc.) 
  • Provide input to a comprehensive portfolio view of performance and advise on strategies and tactics to maximize portfolio performance 
  • On an ongoing basis, analyze and synthesize leading indicators to inform ongoing assessment of BU investment mix 
  • Continuously assess and identify opportunities to increase effectiveness of digital (HCP / HCC) and personal promotion (rep, email, call center, Med Ed) activities across the portfolio 
  • Develop a consistent brand and portfolio performance review approach with common (where feasible), defined measures of success 
  • Identify and catalogue common learnings to drive and share best practices across brands within the Business Unit 
  • Provide operational support and coordination across the portfolio 
  • Participate in Long Range Operating Plan, August Refresh and Profit Plan 
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional and cross-divisional relationships, driving collaboration and achievement of shared goals 



  • Required: BA or BS 
  • Preferred: MBA 

  • A minimum of 3 years of Marketing, Marketing Support, or analytics experience
  • Demonstrated track record of collaboration among diverse cross-functional working groups 
  • Refined analytic capabilities with an ability to link disparate data sources and connect the dots to identify comprehensive insights and recommend corresponding courses of action 
  • Comfortable working in whitespace environments with willingness and ability to help shape and define new capabilities
  • Self-starter to take the lead navigating a matrix organization in order to facilitate connectivity across diverse groups of stakeholders in pursuit of common goals and objectives 
  • Effective communication skills with an ability to process technical information and translate clearly and concisely to broad audiences 
  • Exceptional executive presence, with experience presenting to, engaging with, and influencing executive leadership 
  • Strong judgment, prioritization, and decision-making skills, with understanding of broader context for Business Unit, US Market, and corporate strategies 
  • Innovative thinking, with affinity toward experimentation and appropriate risk taking 

  • Minimum of 3 years Pharmaceutical (or related) Industry experience
  • Experience in the digital marketing space 
  • Experience executing marketing campaigns in the digital space including, but not restricted to, implementation, measurement, and evaluation 
  • Experience in Brand / Payer Marketing, Finance and / or Market Research 
  • Strong understanding of all compliance-related concepts, including the laws, regulations and policies that govern pharmaceutical marketing and sales activities
