MRL IT has embarked on a journey to transform how scientists interact with technology in the lab. This role will be a member of this team, responsible for executing on a strategic marketing plan aligned to IT and scientific goals to drive positive change.


Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implement communication and change management plans to generate and sustain internal champions for change (in IT and science).
  • Develop holistic Change Management Approach.
  • Translate platform and application development roadmaps into positioning, content, and materials as appropriate for promotion to drive adoption by MRL scientists.
  • Define realization metrics; Define and execute adoption plan to achieve these metrics.

This position can be located in West Point, Boston or New Jersey.



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline (such as informatics, genomics, biology, statistics/biostatistics) or Communication or Digital Design.


  • Minimum of two (2) years software marketing industry experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for facilitating communication through modern methods and tools such as blogging, digital media, video clips and more.
  • A dedication to solving complex and challenging problems, tackling a diversity of subject matter with a creative mind and imaginative strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong, trust based, collaborative relationships to drive change within a large, diverse organization.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of problems facing scientists working in a drug discovery lab.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert verbal/ written input into powerful infographics, PowerPoint and other marketing/ presentation material.
  •  Ability to quickly grasp new technological and scientific concepts and convey their value to clients and collaborators.
  •  Ability to function in a geographically distributed and culturally diverse environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills (a writing sample is requested with application).
  • Ability to work in a team of multidisciplinary scientists and IT personnel, and operate effectively in a matrix environment; team player yet able to work independently


  • Experience supporting the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity with user centered design.
  • Pragmatic Marketing Certification.
