Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Cell/Molecular Biologist to join our growing cancer research organization. This Scientist will be part of a team dedicated to discovering and developing cancer targets in the field of Tumor Dependencies. Applicants should have strong laboratory research experience and a desire to continue in a laboratory-focused role while supporting development of new methodologies and novel research. Excellent communication and teamwork within a multi-disciplinary environment are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to discovery research and development as part of a multidisciplinary team in an exciting, fast-paced environment
  • Work autonomously to execute biochemical, cellular, and molecular assays and co-culture cellular models for interrogation of oncology biology.
  • Interpret results and draw conclusions from own multistage experiments and suggest, design, and pursue relevant experiments that further project goals
  • Efficiently organize and present scientific plans and data at project team meetings
  • Consistenly optimizes assays, develops new assays, and initiates new areas of investigation that are scientifically meaningful to project goals.
  • Routinely demonstrates scientific initiative and creativity in research activities.
  • Understand relevant scientific literature and propose or apply theoretical frameworks to solving problems

Qualifications
  • BS, MS, or PhD in cell or molecular biology or related field with 10+ (BS), 8+ (MS), or 0 (PhD) years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to execute and interpret critical experiments
  • Broad and versatile technical expertise in cell/molecular biology (cell culture, gene editing, 3D or co-culture systems), biochemical assays (western blot, Wes, ELISA, AlphaLISA, FRET, immunoprecipitation or PCR).
  • Highly developed communication skills and keen ability to engage internal and external team members in collaborative research
  • Enthusiasm and passion for executing innovative scientific research

Preferred:

  • Experience in Oncology research
  • Experience independently driving new assay development
  • Proven track record of generating publication quality data and contributing to manuscript or patent preparation
