RIMARY PURPOSEEnsures that MRI scans are performed in a professional and knowledgeable manner according to the standards set by PHHS and appropriate regulatory agencies. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONSEducation:- Must be a graduate of a CAHEA (Committee on Allied Health and Accreditation) approved Radiology program.Experience:- Must have 2 years of experience in Radiographic Technology with current certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT).- Must have 6 years of clinical experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).Certification/Registration/Licensure:- Currently registered by the ARRT in Radiology and MRI -OR-- Obtain the ARRT-MRI within 1 year of employment - current incumbents must obtain ARRT-MRI certification no later than December 5, 2014. - Current license by the Texas Department of Health (TDH) as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.- Must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card or obtain certification during initial orientation at Parkland from one of the following. Current incumbents as of September 27, 2017 will be given forty (40) days or until November 6, 2017 to obtain certification. oAmerican Heart Association oAmerican Red Cross Rescuer oMilitary Training Network. Skills or Special Abilities:- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of MRI equipment.- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Anatomy and Physics.- Must be able to demonstrate computer skills in both word processing and data-base software.- Must be able to demonstrate oral and written communication skills.- Must be able to demonstrate time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.- Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
