YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Manager of Supply Chain, are to: 

 

  • Utilize coaching, counseling, directing, and facilitation skills to provide leadership to the 45+ person Supply Chain Management team of the CH-PS Myerstown Site and foster a team-based proactive culture which embraces continuous improvement principles to deliver desired financial and operational results.  Maintain an efficient organizational design for all functional areas under management;
  • Serve as a member of the Myerstown senior site leadership team, and support the development of site objectives, strategies and policies.  Influence peers and their subordinates to action to balance total delivered costs, service levels, and inventory results;
  • Serve as the senior contact between the CH-PS Myerstown site and the Product Supply team within the CH-PS business including demand management, project management, inventory management, product lifecycle management, and procurement;
  • Manage raw material, packaging component, work in-process, and finished good inventory assets of approximately $45 million in total with an annual spend of over $150 million.  Provide expertise for developing division inventory targets to meet customer service goals while optimizing plant efficiency;
  • Manage all site supply chain activities while balancing fluctuating demands in dynamic markets to meet the financial and operational goals of the SCM department, the Myerstown site, and the US Consumer Heath business.  Ensuring the optimization of procedures and processes at the site as well as those interrelated to division Supply Chain, Project Management, Warehousing, Procurement, and Product Lifecycle Management.  Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize cross-functional activities within the site, division, and with external customers and suppliers;
  • Ensure efficient Warehouse Operations within an established budget and manage warehouse activities including meeting cycle time, inventory and site goals. This includes all inbound and outbound transportation activities such as freight security, hazardous materials compliance, import, export, transportation and traffic, third-party warehousing and distribution of finished goods;
  • Provide long range planning expertise to the organization, site, and functions under management to support the Myerstown Site’s capital plan, capacity decisions, and overall supply chain strategy;
  • Maintain compliance with cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and the regulations of the following agencies: DEA (U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency), DOT (U.S. Department of Transportation), U.S. Customs, and other applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required  with a minimum of twelve (12) years Supply Chain Management / Materials Management experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of eight (8) years Supply Chain Management / Materials Management experience, 
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience;
  • Understanding of End-to-End Supply Chain Management / Purchasing / Materials Management and the interrelation with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Controlling, and other functional areas;
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management with internal and external business partners/customers;.
  • A working knowledge of consumer goods production, operations, and industry practices;
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, manage, and develop individuals and teams;
  • Experience with SAP and Materials Resource Planning (MRP) systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Business or Engineering;
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA;)
  • SAP – APO experience;
  • Experience with the tools within Microsoft Office;
  • Certification in Production Management (APICS/C.P.I.M) or Procurement (ISM/A.P.P);
  • Five (5) years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
