Join a world-class academic healthcare system as a Senior Manager- Home Infusion Pharmacy. This role will be a part of the exciting new startup of Home Infusion Pharmacy, servicing UChicago Medicine and Ingalls Memorial. As Senior Manager, Home Infusion Pharmacy, you will Serves as Pharmacist-In-Charge for the Home Infusion Pharmacy as well as the direct liaison with physician clinics and case management and indirect liaison with Nursing Agencies.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Home Infusion Pharmacy will develop a program that will provide patients with home infusion medications, supplies and durable medical equipment to support infusion therapeutics. This includes developing marketing and implementation plans for initiation and expansion of the service. He/she is responsible for supervising center staff and maximization of revenues and operating profit of home infusion center while providing high quality health care service. He/she will be responsible for keeping operations, patient satisfaction, and outcome metrics that track the benefit of the program.

Essential Job Functions

* Manages 10 - 15 direct reports
* Select, train, develop and motivate a competent staff to meet and surpass goals and objectives.
* Direct functional areas including pharmacy, reimbursement, administration, and sales to ensure smooth, effective operations and sales achievement.
* Serve as liaison between home infusion center and hospitals, home health agencies, management committee, and other appropriate entities. Provide accurate and relative information about the home infusion center and its scope of services to the public. Assist in marketing efforts as appropriate.
* Communicate standards of performance for personnel; ensure adherence to all company philosophies, policies, procedures, and compliance with federal, state, local and other applicable regulations.
* Maintain compliance with Joint Commission accreditation standards by maintaining a quality assessment program, patient satisfaction program, and provider satisfaction program at a minimum.
* Assist with the preparation of sales and operational goals and budgets and provide direction and assistance in achievement of them. Control expenses in accordance with targets and procedures. Work with ProHealth personnel to discover reasons for not meeting budgets, if applicable.
* Maintains direct responsibility for the home infusion pharmacy's profit and loss statement
* Excellent leadership, supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in pharmacy
* Ability to work in a team environment and cooperate with all departments within the home infusion center.

Preferred Qualifications

* Pharm D with residency preferred
* Home infusion experience preferred.
* 3-5 years of strong management experience in the health care industry.

In this role you will work the first 8-10 months at our Hyde Park location. After this period you will begin working at our South Holland location. We anticipate that you will generally work approximately 40 hours per week. We anticipate that you will generally be scheduled to work the day shift, from approximately 8am-4:30pm or 9:30am-6pm . The days of the week that you are scheduled will be Monday-Friday, but we anticipate that you will be on a weekend on call rotation.

Must comply with Ingalls Memorial Hospital's COVID-19 Vaccination requirement as a condition of employment. If you have already received the vaccination, you must provide proof as part of the pre-employment process. This is in addition to your compliance with the Flu Vaccination requirement as well. Medical and religious exemptions will be considered consistent with applicable law. Lastly, a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check are also required for all employees prior to hire.
