Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Leading the delivery of projects for Global Engineering Solutions in the Southeast US.   
  • Managing projects from business case development through asset realization with careful attention to quality and achieving the business needs.  Demonstrating excellence in project management, leadership and communication skills required.   
  • Critical thinking and an understanding of lean methodologies are important for success.   

Assignment will cover projects across the Southeast US and the position will need travel to other Merck sites for extended periods of time.


  • Bachelors Degree or higher
  • A minimum of four (4) years of operations and/or project management experience
  • An understanding of GMP and regulatory qualification requirements and expectations
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Construction and process safety experience
  • Practical experience with lean construction methods
  • Team building and leadership skills
  • Project controls background 
  • Offsite construction experience
  • Demonstrated use of BIM
  • Commissioning and qualification experience
  • Experience implementing project QA/QC programs
