What you will do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will be a part of the fast-paced, integrated and growing RNA-Based Therapeutics research group discovering treatments for several disease areas. You will be responsible for generating and communicating pharmacology data to support novel and innovative approaches in RNA interference (RNAi), which is focused on modulation of intractable targets in diseases using the emerging siRNA modality.

* Designing and conducting in vitro and in vivo studies for functional RNAi activity
* In vitro work includes a range of cellular assays and molecular biological techniques to help characterize cell surface proteins, internalization and intracellular trafficking
* In vivo work will include handling techniques, such as sc and iv dosing, blood and tissue collection
* Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, accurate and timely record keeping and data analysis

Basic Qualifications:

* Master's degree & 2 years of scientific experience OR
* Bachelor's degree & 4 years of scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Cell Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or Molecular Biology
* Hands on experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques and assays including but not limited to cloning and construct design, gene editing, mRNA isolation, qPCR, and ddPCR.
* Experience with mammalian tissue culture and cell-based assays. Previous experience with immune cells is a plus.
* Flow cytometry experience
* Previous drug discovery experience
* Mouse handling and administering drugs through various routes
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, translating into high quality results
* The ability to work independently on research goals and to collaborate on day-to-day experiments with others
* Proactive, enthusiastic, show a desire to learn and be a part of a growing, highly productive cross-functional team
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a flexible team-oriented environment
