The team includes Application & Clinical Analysts, Business Intelligence Analysts, Access & Revenue Cycle Analysts, Credentialed Trainers, Instructional Designers, Software Engineers, and their management. This elite organization takes pride in having completed our initial Epic implementation fully half a year ahead of schedule.

 

We are seeking a Senior Application Analyst for the Home Health team to achieve in-depth knowledge of the Epic Home Health application and serve as a liaison between users and the Epic implementation staff. Additionally, the Epic Senior Application Analyst performs a thorough analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with Epic software. This Senior Analyst prepares detailed requirements specifications and provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems and procedures that meet user requirements. The Senior Analyst will review and test new releases and document all outcomes of testing and serve as the support contact for the application. This position has responsibility within all phases of the application implementation including design, build, test, installation, and maintenance of the application. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install new applications, new components, and upgrade existing applications. Configure application settings and validate configurations performed by Application Analysts.
  • Assist in the coordination of field support activities. Provide go-live and rollout support. Support users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
  • Oversee analysis of necessary application modifications and work with the appropriate Montefiore IT associate or the vendor to coordinate the modification.
  • Provide advanced application troubleshooting support for the application(s). Resolve critical issues independently as necessary. Forward issues to the correct group for remediation, or elevate it to the vendor if required.
  • Review Application Analysts’ resolutions and solutions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements.
    • Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system.
    • Create system specifications from user requirements.
  • Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications. Document all outcomes of testing. Review Application Analyst’s test plans and documented outcomes for consistency and thoroughness.
  • Design database queries and creates reports utilizing a report-writing tool.
  • Proactively monitor the application(s) to recommend improvements and ways to increase efficiency.
  • Write and maintain accurate and current documentation regarding the application(s) supported by the team. Participate in the maintenance of training materials and disseminate materials to users. Review documentation and training materials prepared by Application Analysts.
  • Provide timely, effective, and professional customer support on a 24x7 rotating basis. Work with the help desk and support personnel on escalated issues to identify problems and resolve them. Triage network, hardware, or workstation issues as required.
  • Act as a liaison to the vendor for Montefiore IT or the client.
    • Manage vendor communications needed for support, issue resolution and escalation.
    • Coordinate vendor activities including hardware or software installation.
  • Provide assistance to Application Analysts and other team members as necessary. Encourage, assist, and foster the development of co-workers skills and proficiency.
  • Utilize strong client liaison skills in developing working relationships with clients. Work with clients to develop sound business improvements.
  • Meet with or speak with users regularly to discuss open requests, current needs, and any outstanding issues. Act as the interface between the client (departmental users) and Montefiore IT departments.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 years working in a related clinical, healthcare business, or technical position
  • Application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience.
  • Project Management skills (ability to lead meetings, present information, prioritize, resolve conflict, maintain issues list, and manage a project plan).
  • Knowledge of Home Health end-to-end Clinical and Billing workflows.
  • Experience with at least one Epic go-live.
  • Programming or other technical skills beneficial; logic analysis.
  • Experience working with end users and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Epic Home Health certification
  • Epic Home Health Billing certification
  • Hospital Billing experience is a strong plus

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR Related Experience.
