Description
the organization

What's happening at Entrada Therapeutics? Our mission is to transform the treatment of devastating diseases and improve patients' quality of life using intracellular biologics. Leveraging our proprietary Endosomal Escape Vehicle (EEV)™ platform, we are creating and advancing a diverse pipeline of oligonucleotide, enzyme, protein and peptide programs to efficiently target and engage underlying drivers of diseases.

Our novel approach to drug design and delivery addresses current challenges associated with both large and small molecule therapeutics and represents a fundamental advancement in the field of intracellular biologics.

We're a tight-knit team of experts and leaders in both therapeutics development and rare disease and are excited to grow and attract colleagues who are ready to join a high energy, dedicated team that likes to get things done and dramatically improve the lives of patients and their families.

the perfect fit

You should be versatile, self-motivated, and looking forward to rolling up your sleeves, as you will be involved in all aspects of biomarker development. Your team player mentality and excellent communication skills will allow you to collaborate effectively as you work alongside your team as well as cross-functionally.

the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and qualifying Biomarker assays for RNA targets. You will support our drug discovery and other teams as we develop oligonucleotide-based pipelines to treat some of the world's most challenging diseases.

responsibilities

* Developing and executing RNA-based assays for validating biological activity of oligonucleotide therapeutics in vivo and in vitro
* Process and analyze samples from in vitro and in vivo PK/PD studies
* Develop new assays in support of RNA Biomarker development
* Prepare SOPs and other reports for assay development and qualification
* Function and communicate effectively in a highly dynamic and cross-disciplinary environment and serve as a liaison between teams and program
* Carefully document experiments in an electronic lab notebook and communicate results across teams
* Effectively communicate your work in meetings, interpret and present research data and findings, contribute to patents, reports, and scientific publications.

* Collaboration - We are more than the sum of our parts.
* Curiosity - We have a growth mindset and push conventional thought and theory.

To thrive on our team, you will need to come with:

* Ph.D. in biochemistry, biology, or a related field along with 1-3 years post-degree experience laboratory research experience in industry or academic setting
* Hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques including RNA extraction, RT-PCR, qPCR, ddPCR and assay development
* Strong background in oligonucleotides therapeutics is preferred
* Experience with designing effective splice-switching antisense oligonucleotides for exon skipping and exon inclusion. It would also help to have experience in Next Generation RNA sequencing techniques, but by no means is it mandatory
* To be effective on our team, we need you to have excellent communication skills and thrive in collaborative environments
* We are solving tough problems, so we would love to hear about how you have tackled this in the past
