Location: South San Francisco
Analytical Biosciences was founded to map and harness the human disease atlas through cutting-edge single cell genomics and bioinformatics. We work with partners in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to advance the state of human medicine through single-cell genomics.
Responsibilities:
- Optimization and execution of protein expression and purification of antibodies and recombinant proteins in mammalian systems at various scales.
- He/she should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team setting to execute high-quality experiments in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
- Provides expertise to recommend alternative strategies to resolve expression and purification issues of challenging molecular formats.
- Passionate about large-molecule drug discovery to improve the quality of life for patients
Requirement:
- 3-5 year's experience with a PhD or a master's degree with 5+ years of experience
- Proven track record in anindustry-relevant mammalian expression system (CHO, HEK293 et al) using transient transfection, stable cell line development and cell line engineering.
- Expertise with protein purification techniques such as IMAC, SEC, IEX and affinity chromatography is required.
- Familiarity with biophysical techniques, such as HPLC, MS, thermostability
- In-depth knowledge of high throughput protein expression, purification, and characterization of antibodies and recombinant proteins.
- Maintains familiarity with scientific literature and proactively researches new methods and techniques to promote process efficiency and product quality.
- Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to work under tight timelines in a collaborative team setting

The South San Francisco research site opened in the first quarter of 2020 and is rapidly growing, staffed with experts in the single-cell genomics, bioinformatics and modelling, as well as target valuations and protein sciences.
