Science Instructor Be a Mad Scientist Job Starts: March/April, flexible scheduling and training Who you are: Someone with a passion for all things silly and scientific and a strong desire to make learning FUN You do NOT need to be a certified teacher, nor do you need to be a science major. You MUST enjoy/have experience working with groups of children and have your own car. You must be interested in a part-time position and available weekday afternoons (any time between 2pm-4:30pm). Who we are: For the last 20 years Mad Science has provided entertaining and spectacular educational science to children in preschool through 6th grade. WE ARE currently hiring instructors for Afterschool programs and Special Events in the Orange County area We train you in the curriculum, and provide all materials. After School Programs are usually an hour long and take place between 2pm-4:30pm. The average instructor will work 2-5 hours a week (1hour/day), making $80-$179 per week. (Depending upon availability and experience). As an instructor you will be LIVESCAN fingerprinted and TB tested. Each day you work, you will drive to a local community center/school site/daycare center you have been assigned to. We try to limit your driving time by placing you in schools as close as possible to where you live. Our instructors are required to come to a weekly staff meeting every Friday from 1:00-2:00 PM in Santa Ana. To apply, go to :// and fill out the online Application.
