The Manager, Pharmacy Sales - Specialty leverages targeted geographic analysis, engages with Physician offices to influence physicians to route patients' prescriptions to Humana Pharmacy for fulfillment. The Manager, Pharmacy Sales - Specialty works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.


The Specialty Pharmacy Sales Manager focuses on increasing orders to Humana Pharmacy, resulting in increased prescriptions and revenues. This individual will lead a team of Sales Executives in a specified region (Northeast). Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives. Responsibilities include:

* Responsible for motivating and providing feedback on performance for sales executives, as well as hiring and training new sales associates.
* Demonstrated ability to unite a team under a shared vision and understand what motivates each member.
* Coaches individual sales representatives one-on-one through phone work and prospecting help sessions to help them improve sales performance.
* Participates in spontaneous sales call rides and planned field days.
* Requires cross departmental collaboration, and team briefings and area meetings
* Maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

Required Qualifications

* Leadership or team lead experience
* Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding goals as an individual contributor
* Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of decision makers
* Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
* Demonstrated capability with coaching and developing associates formally and informally
* Ability to monitor and recommend improvements to increase team productivity by providing expert advice and assistance to associates, as needed
* Previous experience with coordinating and leading projects and tasks
* Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
* Understands upstream and downstream impacts
* Travel requirement 50-75%.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree
* Salesforce CRM experience
* Prior experience in Specialty Pharmacy
* Prior work in a Healthcare operational setting
