JOB SUMMARYAssists the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; enters charges for narcotics, floor stock, and surgery; and performs other related duties.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates Competency in the Following Areas: Education/Regulatory Requirements:High School Diploma/GEDPrevious hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician or graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.Active or eligible for Pharm Tech Registration with the State of MS Board of Pharmacy.Skills:Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.Automated pharmacy systems.IV Laminar Flow Hood - or willingness to learn.
