Responsible for assisting other Resource Administrators and for the review of in-life log books, QC activities, and calibration of in-life equipment.  Assist with scheduling; inventory/purchasing of laboratory supplies, procurement and evaluation/maintenance of lab equipment; as assigned.



  • Review, note errors/omissions, and pursue corrections for in-life log books.
  • Perform QC activities and assisting with updating databases.
  • Assure that laboratory calibrations are completed in the required time frame (e.g., laboratory weights, archive weights, digital thermometers and balances, etc.)
  • Assist with caging inventory
  • Gather information relating to inventory/purchasing of laboratory supplies, procurement, and evaluation/maintenance of lab equipment (i.e., cages, feeders and laboratory accessories), as assigned.
  • Assist with the purchase of specialized animal laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with inventory/purchase of laboratory supplies.
  • Order, receive and distribute supplies.
  • Distribute miscellaneous correspondence and documents.
  • Ship and receive packages using International and National carriers.
  • Assist with ordering and monitoring perishable supplies (e.g. dry ice, liquid nitrogen, oxygen, etc.)
  •  Perform all other related duties as assigned.



  • Education:  High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (G.E.D.) required.  Associates degree (A.A./A.S.)/Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in a Life Sciences discipline preferred.
  • Experience:  1-2 years of experience in administrative duties and/or toxicology laboratory required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure:  Valid driver’s license.
