Research Assistant will provide coordination and support with multiple clinical research projects in the Pediatric GI and Nutrition Division. Interview and recruit target subjects from clinics in the hospital/ Explain study and obtain written consent from interested and eligible participants. Coordinate follow-up, test and procedures between participants, physicians and other staff within the hospital. Conduct research participant data collection and data entry, including demographic, anthropological and other relevant data into study database in accordance with IRB and research protocols. Coordinate grant applicants from initial application to final award determination. Work closely with research team to develop research work flow policies and procedures. Incumbent may perform other duties as assigned. This is a 100% Grant funded position.


Education and Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, biology, Social Service or related field. One year clerical experience in clinical or research environment as well as experience working in a hospital preferred.

Proficiency with computer and data entry required, including Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of statistical software programs preferred. Incumbent must have excellent typing skills, excellent communication and coordinating skills necessary, and ability to work independently. Experience with Pediatric patients preferred. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
