Expertise with mouse echocardiography and assessment of cardiac function in normal and pathological conditions is essential.

•  Review, comprehend and comply with all SOPs and quality assurance standards pertaining to laboratory animals for research.

•  The candidate would be responsible for in vivo cardiovascular efficacy studies, consistency and accuracy in the measurement of heart function by echocardiography, strong organizational skills and an attention to detail in the implementation and documentation of data, as well as the analyzing, communication and presentation of results.

•  Experience with monitoring animal health and welfare, dosing animals, blood and tissue collections as well as other in vivo techniques is helpful.

•  Work in a collaborative team environment to execute multiple long-term studies simultaneously 
•  Experience with ELISA, RT-PCR, clinical analyzer measures, and other biomarker analysis is desirable 

Qualifications
Education and Experience: 

  • BS, MS in related field with 3-6+ years of experience or PhD in related field with 0-4+ years of experience 

Technical Skills: 

Mouse echocardiography expertise is required 

General animal handling, dosing (oral gavage, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous and tail vein injection), blood and tissue collection skills is helpful 

Experience with ELISA, RT-PCR, clinical analyzers, and other biomarker analysis is desirable

Work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to laboratory animals in the vivarium space.

Comments:

Work on weekends and holidays is required on rotating basis.
