Schedule: Exact work schedule will vary slightly on a weekly basis within the office hours of Monday - Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm.

Shift: This is a full time position working 40 hours per week. This position is benefits eligible.

Location: Colorado Sports & Spine Center (CSSC) South Denver is located on the edge of Parker, CO and Lone Tree, CO, right off of I-25 & Lincoln Avenue

Position Summary

Responsible for delegated direct or indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech language pathologist or other licensed/registered clinicians. Duties include treatment set-up and take-down, patient scheduling, filing, stocking supplies, tracking data, equipment maintenance and cleaning. This position is about 80% Rehab Tech duties, including patient instruction and education, cleaning equipment, etc. and about 20% administrative duties, including scheduing patients, checking patients in and out, and collecting co-pays. Minimum Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Bachelor's Degree in Excercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or similar field preferred

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Previous rehab experience in outpatient, inpatient or inpatient rehab unit preferred

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

  • Basic computer skills required

  • Long term interest in Physical Therapy strongly preferred 


  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )

■ Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the clinician. *

■ Assists with safe and appropriate two person assist tasks. *

■ Readily accepts direction from clinician related to patient care tasks. *

■ Initiates and follows through on communication with supervising physical therapist, occupational therapist or speech language pathologist. *

■ Communicates effectively to all patients, families, superiors, staff, physicians and other customers concerning patient status and physical medicine and rehabilitation services by direct verbal and/or written communication respecting confidentiality at all times. *

■ Consistently demonstrates flexibility as evidenced by floating to other areas or sites and is agreeable to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays and evening hours as necessary to meet the needs of the patients and department. *

■ Supports completion of work volume through cross-training and performing other functions as required. *

■ Demonstrates effective time management and is proactive in prioritizing workload and meeting productivity requirements. *

■ Copies, faxes, mails items and other duties requested by staff. *

■ Responsible for stocking and inventorying supplies. *

■ Maintains temperature logs per protocol. *

■ Monitors, tracks stocks and returns DME/reuseable to correct location after use. *

■ Cleans equipment, gym, treatment and other rooms per protocols. *

■ Participates in personal, professional and program development by attending department in-services, meetings and by sharing professional expertise to enhance quality of professional services and staff development. *

■ Assists with quality improvement, safety and regulatory functions as directed. *

■ Assists in training other rehab technicians, volunteers, students and other hospital personnel. *

■ Adapts to rapidly changing technologies, policies, regulations, census and staffing through priority setting and flexibility. *
