Duties and ResponsibilitiesFill all prescription orders in an accurate and timely mannerUtilize technology in place to ensure patient safetyEnsure clinical compliance of patients by asking pre-determined questions and escalating to a pharmacist when necessaryTriage documents in Caretend, supporting different ques as requiredCommunicate professionally with both patients and doctor offices while following all legal requirements, to include state pharmacy regulations and HIPAACoordinate with Manager on daily tasksManage filling supplies including vials, labels, and any other necessary itemsWork with Inventory Manager to maintain adequate supply of medicationsMaintain adequate inventory in the pharmacy and sustain established levelsMonitor and order supplies (labels, paper, etc.)Communicate with Data Entry on new products, new generics, and NDC changesMonitor weekend orders and product selectionPut away pharmacy ordersFill supply orders and coordinate deliveryKeep work area neat and cleanResponsible for work schedule and insuring the timely receiving, shipping, and processing of ordersSkills and SpecificationsAble to prioritize work and coordinate fills based on schedules in placeAble to use computers and software applications.Able to create and implement systems required to gather, maintain, and analyze information.Demonstrate ability to learn the names of commonly dispensed medicationsAbility to work even in multiple demands.Maintain and promote positive attitude towards the job and company.Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.Must be able to stand for an extended periodPersonality/QualitiesSelf-motivated,Organized, and detailed orientedTeam playerExcellent multitasking skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to work independently in a fast paced environmentComputer program Skills/ knowledge:Caretend or CPR+ experience preferredMicrosoft Office: Word/Excel/Outlook/ PowerPointEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: NJ Registered Pharmacy Technician required.
