The Pharmacy Coordinator will be responsible for managing member, provider, and vendor outreach to impact Part D quality initiatives. This position will confirm eligibility and benefits, while providing support for services based on senior or commercial member guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing Health Plan specific reports to impact medication adherence, STATIN use, medication reconciliation, and other STAR measures, as directed
  • Confirm benefits and eligibility prior to member outreach
  • Data entry to track outcomes of all communications and outreach
  • Management of turn-around times for call-backs
  • Works in collaboration with the Nurse to obtain all necessary information and prioritize workload
  • Staying current on health plan formulary updates
  • Direct member outreach to address adherence gaps by identifying/addressing barriers
  • Phone and faxing for Provider office outreach to obtain confirmation of Rx and other required data
  • Provide education for the PCP offices and staff for the Part D STAR measures (7 measures)
  • Ability to successfully manage timelines and manage multiple tasks
  • Solid ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician school
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician
  • Data entry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance
Preferred Qualifcations:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician
  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • Solid knowledge of health plan benefits and Medicare guidelines
