Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.


Purpose of the Position:

This Intern position is designed to act as a project management and project engineering support in the Display Applications Lab to create compelling demonstrations of the value of Corning glass products for end-user applications in support of new business development and customer engagement.



Develop compelling visual and interactive demonstration of the value of new CGT products

  • Understand and be able to articulate the value proposition for customers and end users
  • Design a demonstration to highlight specific product features and benefits with quantitative and qualitative metrics
  • Present the demo design plan and resources needed to key stakeholders
  • Design and build customized electronics components and software interface to enable the demonstration (may include driving of displays, backlight components, touch interface, video content (4K/8K)
  • Document a user guide and presentation materials for the demonstration



  • Working towards a MS or PhD in technical disciplines related to display devices or consumer electronics.  Electrical Engineering degrees preferred.


Desired Skills

  • Strong and detail analytical skills of data, information, and technology
  • Experience, knowledge and/or passion in display devices, sensing, or interface technology
  • Hands on experience building and controlling electronic devices and application programming in the context of consumer electronic devices
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Ability to relocate after graduation for a permanent role based in Mainland China or Taiwan
  • Positive attitude and strong interest in new technology
  • Knowledge of display/semiconductor process and technology, including product specifications and industrial trends
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
