About the department
In Novo Nordisk’s Major Investments and Projects department, you will contribute to a team dedicated to the goal of defeating diabetes worldwide. You will lead the project-related activities of a diverse implementation team consisting of functional and technical staff. You will be part of a team responsible for achieving quality, delivery and cost objectives in the Novo Nordisk Way.

The position
You will provide direction, lead and manage the development and implementation of major high-profile capital projects with strategic impact on the core operations and processes of Novo Nordisk. You will be responsible people selection, expectation setting, team and individual motivation, employee development and succession planning. You will ensure the projects are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters, negotiating changes in project resources as necessary to achieve objectives.

Qualifications
You will need a BS in Engineering or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred). You will need a minimum of 10 years of successful project management experience leading large complex capital investments in a matrix environment. You should have the following skills/qualifications:
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of organizational structure, job design, workflow analysis, budget preparation and management
* Advanced knowledge and understanding of Novo Nordisk core business and operating systems, policies, procedures
* Highly organized, capable of managing great detail and focus
* Ability to identify and assess business needs and coordinate effective operating and systems solutions
