Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Summary: Working together with program management and multidisciplinary teams to organizes and takes responsibility for implementing documentation and obtaining results for project related data and information for new product. Serve as a core team member on new product and engineering projects. The Project Coordinator assists to execute daily activities to achieve desired product line sales growth and profitability.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Involves determination of manufacturability of products and improved effectiveness and cost of production processes through determinations regarding methods, equipment, layout, workflow, time standards, capacity utilization, process/equipment improvements, and process control systems.
  • Ensuring that the projects are delivered on time, meet business & technical requirements and are within the agreed budget.
  • Working together with Planner and Production to establish realistic due dates for product delivery.
  • Improve project administration processes by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
  • Issue weekly project status report. Actively participate in internal departmental activities; serve on cross-functional teams fulfilling division and business objectives. 
  • Take responsibility for own personal and professional growth.

Job Requirements:  

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a high technology company, preferably in contract manufacturing.
  • Good working abilities with Word, Excel and Outlook as well as comfortable learning additional computer programs
  • Solid project coordination skills
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Problem detecting and solving
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Strong customer focus
  • Bachelor’s Degree – General
