Role Summary:

We are looking for a talented Program Manage/Learning Experience Designer to join our team in Corning, NY. As a Program Manager/Learning Experience Designer you’ll be a critical part of the Workforce Development and Learning (WD&L) team. You will partner with forward-thinking internal and external resources to create novel learning experiences that aren’t just engaging, but help drive meaningful behavior change The role will offer exciting global challenges in problem solving, collaboration and communication, cross-team orchestration, and day-to-day project management and leadership You’ll support business goals without losing sight of the learner experience.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Program Manager Orchestrate, coordinate and drive work across assigned programs for all phases of a program, including initiative ideation, development & testing, content integration and deployment
  • Ensure work is sufficiently defined, prioritized based on value, and well understood by execution teams – potentially including partners and sub-contractors
  • Experience Designer Scope and design innovative learning experiences which produce the outcomes our businesses and learners seek
  • Leverage principles of learner-centered design to drive experience creation
  • Span multiple levels of experience design, from high-level scaffolding to detailed learning journeys including behavioral practice, social learning opportunities, content, assessments, and more
  • Partner collaboratively with subject matter experts to round out knowledge where needed, while owning the quality and on-time delivery of the final product
  • Become expert on our platforms and their current and future capabilities in order to design experiences which we can support successfully now, and identify areas in which we should consider investing in the future
  • Provide product feedback (at key phases) on functional design, feasibility and usability along with necessary testing pre-launch
  • Provide internal Corning training resources with guidance on learning experience design, platform capabilities and performance measurement and assist those resources in developing engagement plans around deployment

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7-10 years client-facing experience in program management in an area related to learning.
  • Formal experience with learning experience design, either through education (i.e., Masters Degree or higher in Curriculum and Instruction or Instructional Design) and direct work experience
  • Hands on experience with learning platforms including development tools that support a mobile first approach
  • Expertise in responsive design for multiple platforms and screens
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with customers and vendors;
  • Knowledgeable about learning platforms and operations.
  • Experience maintaining vendor relationships
  • Ability to learn new L&D areas, build learning strategy, and work with stakeholders
  • Creativity, persistence, integrity, curiosity, and the will to succeed.
  • Strong program/project management skills

Education Requirements:  Masters’ Degree in Instructional Systems Design, Education or Adult learning with an emphasis on use of technology to deliver learning experiences.
