Description

The Program Manager of Neurosciences ARPD is responsible for the academic development of the Neurosciences Institute. This individual is responsible for the development of coordinated educational, academic and related strategic initiatives including grant procurement, management, peer reviewed journal publication and poster authoring, engaging neuroscience specialists in collegial relationships promoting the academic aims of the institute and developing the use of Fellows within the Institute.

 

Essential Functions
 Coordinating and submitting grant applications for the various programs within the Neurosciences Institute.
 Grant management functions which includes, but is not limited to: progress reports, outcome evaluations and RFP submissions.
 Facilitating white paper authoring and submissions for the various disciplines within the Neurosciences Institute.
 Assisting the dyad leadership with the coordination, obtaining and analysis of various data metrics for promotion of the Institute’s public profile, through community education, internal and external publication.
 Assisting with the acquisition of new research trials.
 Provides input on budget requests for research trials.
 Coordinates interested physicians and the Program Manager of CME and Academic Affairs to ensure necessary requirements are met for the use of any Fellows within the Institute.
 Coordinates the Neuroscience Institute Annual Report. Coordination includes: obtaining updates from all programmatic leads, consolidating changes into one document and working with Corporate Communication liaison for submission to print after all approvals are obtained.
 Coordinates research collaborations with other institutes, academic or healthcare institutions.
 Assists with programmatic development when requested.
 Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education, Training and Experience


Required: Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years’ experience in healthcare environment. Previous manuscript submission(s) accepted for publication.
Preferred: Master’s Degree with 10+ years of experience in a healthcare environment.


Skills or Other Qualifications


Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in an autonomous environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (such as Word, Outlook, Excel). Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a widely diverse constituency, including administrative, medical and non-medical staff, personnel from other agencies and the general public. Flexibility and openness to evolving job requirements. Must be available to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings. Excellent public speaking skills.
